Mental Health at Legacy Union · Kickoff

May 6, 2026 · Legacy Union, Charlotte NC

The series launch — a room full of people who came to talk about the thing nobody talks about. Mental-health art and a vintage formula car in the Legacy Union lobby, the Team Wheelhouse 988 Cayman parked on the green outside. The starting line for something we’ll keep building all year.

Why it mattered

We brought a vintage formula car into the Legacy Union lobby and parked it next to a banner that reads 1 in 5 American adults will have a diagnosable mental health condition this year. People stopped. People asked. That was the point.

Outside, the Team Wheelhouse Porsche Cayman GT4 — the one with the 988 livery and the carbon-fiber hood — kept collecting signatures. Every signature is a name attached to the cause. Every name is a permission slip to talk about it out loud.

Thanks to Legacy Union for hosting and to every person who showed up. The series rolls all year — the May 20 Seven20 CLT Meet was the next stop. See you at the next one.

This is why we do it.

Every event happens because someone gave. Help us keep the calendar full.
